Media Library

The media library stores and organizes all audio files of a project. Files can be searched, filtered, previewed, and organized into playlists.

Overview

The media library is shared across all stations within a project. Access it via Project → Media Library.

The interface consists of three main areas:

  • Left sidebar: Playlist folders and navigation
  • Center: File table with search and filters
  • Right panel: Detail view for selected items

Table View

The file table displays all media items with the following columns:

Click any column header to sort by that field. Click again to reverse the sort order.

Search and Filter

The search bar above the table filters results by title, artist, or album. Results update as you type.

The table displays 30 items per page. Use the pagination controls at the bottom to navigate through results.

Filter options include:

  • Media type: Show only files of a specific type
  • Playlist: Show files contained in a playlist
  • Date range: Filter by upload date

Selecting Files

Click a row to select a single file. The detail view opens on the right.

Select multiple files using:

  • Ctrl/Cmd + Click: Add individual files to selection
  • Shift + Click: Select a range of files
  • Checkbox column: Toggle selection without opening detail view

A selection bar appears at the top showing the count of selected items.

Bulk Actions

With multiple files selected, the selection bar provides these actions:

Context Menu

Right-click any file to open the context menu:

Drag and Drop

Drag files from the table to playlists in the left sidebar. A visual indicator shows valid drop targets.

Multiple selected files can be dragged together. Drop them on a playlist to add all selected items.

Detail View

Click a file to open its detail view on the right side. The detail view shows:

  • Cover art (if available)
  • All metadata fields
  • Assigned playlists
  • Cue point visualization
  • Playback controls
