Mixing & Export
The Session Editor provides mixing tools to control volume dynamics and define transition points between audio elements.
Volume Automation
Volume automation uses envelope curves to change volume over time. This allows dynamic adjustments like fading music under a voice track.
Creating Automation Points
- Select a track with automation enabled
- Click on the automation lane to add a point
- Drag points to adjust timing (horizontal) and level (vertical)
- Add multiple points to create complex curves
Editing Automation
- Move: Drag a point to reposition
- Delete: Right-click a point and select Remove
- Reset: Clear all automation points to return to static volume

Ducking
Ducking automatically reduces the volume of background tracks when a voice track is active.
Ducking Modes
| Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Simple | Reduces volume by a fixed amount |
| Relative | Reduces volume proportionally to the voice level |
| Smart | Analyzes audio to apply smooth transitions |
Configuring Ducking
- Select the voice track as the ducking source
- Select target tracks (music, beds)
- Choose a ducking mode
- Adjust the reduction amount
Mix Points
Mix points define transition timing between rotation items. In rotation sessions, the mix point determines when the outro track begins playing.
Setting Mix Points
- Position the playhead at the desired transition point
- Click Set Mix Point or drag the mix point marker
- The outro track aligns to start at this position
Mix point data is saved with the rotation item and affects scheduling calculations for subsequent items.

Saving Sessions
Save Process
- Click the Save button in the toolbar
- New sessions receive a unique identifier
- Rotation sessions link to their rotation item
- Recorded voice tracks upload to the server
What Gets Saved
- Track positions and arrangement
- Cue points and fades
- Volume levels and automation
- Mix point data
- Recorded audio files
INFO
Sessions do not export to audio files. The arrangement plays live in the Studio, allowing real-time playback and further adjustments.
