Projects & Stations
Projects and stations form the organizational structure of xtra audio. Projects contain stations, and stations contain all broadcasting resources.
Projects
A project is the top-level container for a radio operation. All stations, media, schedules, and team members belong to a project.
Create a Project
- Click the project dropdown in the sidebar
- Select Create Project
- Enter a project name
- Click Create
Project Settings
Access project settings via Settings in the sidebar.

| Avatar | Project icon shown in the sidebar |
| Timezone | Default timezone for scheduling |
| Maintenance Window | Scheduled downtime period |
Stations
A station represents a single broadcast endpoint. Each station has its own stream configuration, schedule, and content queue.
Station Types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Standard | Full playout station with scheduling and automation |
| Relay | Restreams an external audio source |
| Stage | Live broadcasting without automation |
Create a Station
- Navigate to Settings in the sidebar
- Select the Stations tab
- Click Add Station
- Choose the station type
- Enter station name and configuration
- Click Create
Import a Station
Existing station configurations can be imported:
- Navigate to Settings → Stations
- Click Import Station
- Upload the configuration file
- Review and confirm settings
Station Status
Stations have three possible states:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Running | Station is active and streaming |
| Stopped | Station is inactive |
| Unavailable | Station cannot connect to streaming server |
Start and Stop a Station
- Navigate to the station in the sidebar
- Open the Studio or use the station context menu
- Click Start or Stop
The station status indicator in the sidebar shows the current state.
Navigation
Switch Projects
- Click the project dropdown in the sidebar header
- Select the target project
Switch Stations
- Click on a station in the sidebar station list
- The interface loads the selected station context
All features (Media, Studio, Planner, Settings) operate within the selected station context.
