Scheduling Overview
The scheduling system automates your station's programming. It consists of three interconnected components: Sequences define what plays, the Week Planner defines when it plays, and Rotations execute the schedule hour by hour.
How Scheduling Works
Sequences → Week Planner → Rotations → Playout- Create sequences with actions that select and play content
- Assign sequences to time blocks in the Week Planner
- The system generates rotations for each hour based on the schedule
- Rotations play automatically in the studio
Components
Sequences
Reusable templates that define a series of actions. Each action can select media, start a live session, fire a trigger, call a webhook, or play from an external source.
Week Planner
A visual 7-day calendar where you assign sequences to time blocks. The schedule repeats weekly. A default sequence can be configured as fallback for unscheduled hours.

Rotations
Auto-generated playlists for each hour. The system calculates start times, applies timing rules, and detects scheduling conflicts.
Rotations can be generated manually, in bulk for a date range, or automatically through the auto-planning feature. See Week Planner for configuration details.
Timing Types
Control when items start relative to each other. Options include normal sequential playback, fixed start times, and backtimed items.
Typical Workflow
Setting Up a New Schedule
- Open Sequences in the station sidebar
- Create sequences for different program types (music hours, shows, news blocks)
- Open Planner in the station sidebar
- Select a sequence in the sidebar to arm it
- Click and drag on the calendar to place time blocks
- Review generated rotations in Rotations
Daily Operations
- Check the current rotation for the active hour
- Adjust individual items if needed (reorder, add, remove)
