Mix Editor
The Mix Editor provides visual crossfade editing between adjacent tracks in the playlist. Fine-tune transitions without leaving the Studio.
Opening the Mix Editor
The Mix Editor works with two consecutive tracks.
- Select two adjacent tracks in the playlist
- Click the Mix icon between them
- The Mix Editor tab opens in Panel A
Both tracks load into the editor with their overlap region visible.
Timeline View
The Mix Editor displays a crossfade timeline.
Components:
- Track A: Outgoing track (top waveform)
- Track B: Incoming track (bottom waveform)
- Overlap Region: Highlighted area where tracks mix
- Crossfade Curve: Visual representation of the volume transition
Adjusting the Overlap
Change when Track B begins relative to Track A ending.
Drag Method
- Click the start point of Track B
- Drag left to increase overlap (earlier start)
- Drag right to decrease overlap (later start)
Numeric Entry
- Click the overlap duration field
- Enter the desired overlap in seconds
- Press Enter to apply
Setting Cue Points
Cue points define exact transition moments.

|---|---|
| Mix Out | Where Track A begins fading out |
| Mix In | Where Track B begins fading in |
| End | Where Track A stops completely |
| Start | Where Track B becomes fully audible |
Drag cue point markers on the timeline to adjust positions. The crossfade curve adjusts based on cue point positions.
Preview
Audition the mix before saving.
- Click Preview to start playback
- Playback begins before the transition point
- Listen through the crossfade
Preview plays through your local monitoring output. It does not affect the live broadcast.
Saving Changes
- Click Save in the editor toolbar
- Changes apply to the playlist queue
Saved changes affect only this playlist instance. Original track cue points remain unchanged.
Closing the Editor
- Click the close button (X) on the Mix Editor tab
- If unsaved changes exist, a warning appears
