Playlists ​

Playlists group media items in ordered lists. Folders enable hierarchical organization.

Overview ​

Playlists are project-wide containers available to all stations. They serve two purposes:

  • Organization: Group related tracks for browsing
  • Scheduling: Use in sequences for automated playout

Access playlists via the Playlists tab in the Media Library.

Creating Playlists ​

  1. Open the Playlists tab in the Media Library
  2. Click Create Playlist
  3. Enter a playlist name
  4. Click Create

Creating Folders ​

Folders organize playlists into a hierarchy. Folders can contain other folders and playlists.

  1. Navigate to the parent folder in the playlist tree
  2. Create a new folder
  3. Enter a folder name

Nest folders up to 5 levels deep.

Adding Items ​

From the Media Library ​

  1. Select one or more files in the media library
  2. Right-click and select Add to Playlist
  3. Choose the target playlist

Via Drag and Drop ​

The playlist detail view has a media library browser on the right side. Drag items from the browser into the playlist on the left.

Files can also be dropped directly onto the playlist from the file system, which opens the upload interface.

During Upload ​

Select playlists in the upload interface before starting. Files are added to selected playlists after upload completes.

Playlist View ​

Click a playlist to view its contents. The playlist view shows:

The item count appears at the top of the list.

Reordering Items ​

Drag items by the position handle to reorder them. Changes are saved immediately via the API.

Removing Items ​

  1. Right-click an item in the playlist
  2. Select Remove

The item is removed immediately. Removing items from a playlist does not delete them from the media library.

Context Menu ​

Right-click any item in the playlist:

Deleting Playlists ​

  1. Right-click the playlist in the folder tree
  2. Select Delete
  3. Confirm the deletion

Media items contained in the playlist are preserved in the library.
