Studio Settings

Configure Studio behavior and preferences. Access settings via the gear icon in the top bar.

Audio Settings

Input Device

Select the microphone for speaker functionality.

1. Open Audio > Input Device.
2. Choose from the device list.
3. Click Apply.

Devices refresh automatically when connected. Click Refresh to manually scan for new devices.

Output Device

Select where Studio audio plays locally.

1. Open Audio > Output Device.
2. Choose your headphones or speakers.
3. Click Apply.

Use headphones when connected as a speaker to prevent feedback loops.

Monitor with Sound Processing

Control whether local playback includes audio processing.

• On: Hear the processed broadcast output
• Off: Hear pre-processed audio

Toggle off to identify processing issues while hearing the raw signal.

Display Settings

Hide Played Items

Control playlist visibility of completed items.

• On: Played items disappear from the queue
• Off: Played items remain visible (grayed out)

Hiding played items keeps the queue focused on upcoming content.

Show Preload Progress

Display loading indicators for upcoming tracks.

• On: Progress bars show track buffering
• Off: Clean interface without loading indicators

Enable to verify tracks are ready before playback.

Performance Settings

Low-Latency Monitoring

Minimize delay between input and output.

• On: Reduced latency (~20-50ms)
• Off: Standard latency with better stability (~100-200ms)

Enable for live microphone situations where delay is noticeable. Disable if experiencing audio glitches.

Preload Buffer

Set how far ahead tracks buffer.

Setting	Buffer Time
Minimal	10 seconds
Standard	30 seconds
Extended	60 seconds

Extended buffering improves stability on slower connections but uses more memory.

Cartwall Settings

Grid Size

Configure cartwall dimensions.

1. Open Cartwall > Grid Size.
2. Set rows (1-8) and columns (4-12).
3. Click Apply.

Larger grids require scrolling on smaller screens.

Trigger Mode

Control how cartwall sounds play.

Mode	Behavior
One-shot	Click plays once, click again stops
Toggle	Click starts, click stops
Hold	Plays while held, stops on release

Choose based on your workflow preference.

Keyboard Shortcuts

View and customize keyboard bindings.

1. Open Keyboard.
2. Browse available shortcuts.
3. Click a shortcut to reassign.
4. Press the new key combination.
5. Click Save.

Resetting Shortcuts

Restore default key bindings.

1. Open Keyboard.
2. Click Reset to Defaults.
3. Confirm the reset.

Sync Settings

Auto-Sync

Control automatic state synchronization.

• On: Changes push to all connected users immediately
• Off: Manual sync required (advanced use only)

Keep enabled for normal collaboration. Disable only for isolated testing.

Resetting Settings

Restore all settings to defaults.

1. Open Settings > General.
2. Scroll to Reset All.
3. Click Reset.
4. Confirm the action.

This clears all custom settings including cartwall layout and keyboard shortcuts.

Settings apply at different levels:

Most settings are user-scoped. Cartwall layout is browser-scoped. Audio device settings are browser-scoped due to hardware specificity.
