Editing Media

The detail page displays all properties of a media item. Edit metadata, configure restrictions, and view technical details.

Accessing the Detail Page

  1. Open Media Library in the project sidebar
  2. Click a file title to open its detail page

Interface Layout

The editing interface has two areas:

  • Main area (left, 3/4 width): Metadata fields and media fields
  • Sidebar (right, 1/4 width): Two tabs — Details and Restrictions

Metadata Fields

TTL Date

Set an expiry date for the file. After this date, the file is marked as expired. This is useful for time-limited content like ads or licensed tracks.

Tags

Add free-form text tags to a media item for categorization and filtering. Enter a tag and confirm to add it. Tags appear in the library and can be used to filter the file list.

Custom Fields

Custom fields hold values for the fields defined in the project's Types & Fields configuration. Field types include boolean, string, number, and select. Fields appear in the main area below the core metadata. See Types & Fields to configure them.

Stems

If AI stem separation has run for a file, the separated audio stems are available:

  • Bass
  • Drums
  • Vocals
  • Other

Stems are shown only when available for the file.

Cue Points

Cue points define how tracks play and transition. To edit cue points, click Open in Cue Editor. This opens the dedicated cue editor panel.

Cue Point Behavior

|--[Start]----[Fade In]----------[Mix]--[Fade Out]----[End]--|

   begins starts begins ends

Start and End crop the track. Audio before Start and after End does not play.

Fade In creates a volume ramp from silence to full volume between Start and the Fade In marker.

Fade Out creates a volume ramp from full volume to silence between the Fade Out marker and End.

Mix determines when the next track begins playing.

Hook Start and Hook End define a preview segment for the media library and scheduler.

Details Tab

The Details tab in the sidebar displays:

Availability Scheduling

A 7-day by 24-hour grid controls availability for each hour of each day of the week. Active hours show a checkmark on a colored background. Inactive hours show a gray background.

Click cells to enable or disable playback for each hour. The planner respects these restrictions when generating rotations. Restrictions apply to automatic scheduling only; manual playback in the studio is not affected.

Date Restrictions

Limit when a media item appears in rotations using two date fields:

FieldDescription
Not BeforeThe item is excluded from rotations before this date
Not AfterThe item is excluded from rotations after this date

Leave a field empty to remove that limit.

Saving Changes

Click Save Changes in the header to apply modifications. The button is disabled when no changes have been made.
